Following a teaser sketch released last month, Renault has unveiled the all-new Trafic set to go on sale this summer.

Looking considerably better than its predecessor, the third-gen Trafic boasts a more imposing front fascia with a larger diamond logo and grille, slender headlights and a sloped windscreen. The highly customizable van will be available in no less than 270 versions including two different lengths, two heights, platform cab, crew van, panel van, passenger variant, as well as in other derivatives prepared by approved converters and Renault Tech.

Renault's third generation Trafic will feature downsized turbocharged engines which will include a newly developed 4-cylinder 1.6-liter dCi related to the 160 HP twin-turbo Energy dCi motor revealed last month for upcoming D- and E-segment Renaults. In the Trafic it will be offered in a single-turbo variant increasing fuel economy by 15 percent along with a twin-turbo configuration promising to return more than 39 mpg US (47 mpg UK or 6 liters / 100 km).

Production of the all-new Trafic will take place at the Sandouville factory in France where Renault has invested more than 230M EUR to get it ready for the third-generation light commercial vehicle (LCV) which goes on sale this summer.
