Great News! Dacia will reportedly offer a new entry-level model based on the Renault Twingo.

According to Autobild, the budget friendly model will carry a shocking base price of approximately €5,000 ($6,965 / £4,175).

Little else is known about the model but it would presumably come sparsely equipped and ride on the Twingo's rear-wheel drive architecture.

There's no word on engine options but the Twingo offers a turbocharged 0.9-liter three-cylinder TCe with 90 HP (66 kW) and 135 Nm (100 lb-ft) of torque.  The model can also be equipped with a 1.0-liter three-cylinder SCe 70 engine that develops 70 HP (51 kW) and 91 Nm (67 lb-ft) of torque.
