Morgan has introduced at 2014 Geneva Motor Show the most powerful ever Plus 4.

Towards the end of last month Morgan disclosed plans to introduce an uprated variant of the Plus 4 and now the car has been introduced at the Swiss show. It packs the same 4-cylinder 2.0-liter Duratec engine but its output has increased from 145 bhp (108 kW) and 140 lb-ft (190 Nm) to 154 bhp (115 kW) and 148 lb-ft (200 Nm). The additional oomph was obtained by remapping the engine's ECU, something that Morgan has never done before.

The engine is linked to the same 5-speed manual gearbox borrowed from Mazda while the weight has remained the same at 877 kg (1,933 lbs). Morgan hasn't said anything about the car's 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint time but it's probably in the region of 7.3 seconds, with an estimated 120 mph (193 km/h) maximum speed.

Aside from getting more power, the 2014 Morgan Plus 4 also comes with a revised dashboard layout, changed VDO instrumentation and new cabin trim.

The price tag has been left untouched so Morgan is asking 36,285 GBP for the updated Plus 4.
