Lexus is looking to beef up their racing pedigree by introducing the RC F GT3 concept at the Geneva Motor Show.

Based on the RC F Coupe, the concept is a purpose built race car that complies with GT3 regulations.  The model has also been equipped with an aerodynamic body kit that includes a front splitter, modified bumpers and extended side skirts. The car also has aerodynamic mirrors, a prominent rear wing and a massive rear diffuser.

Power is provided by a modified version of the 5.0-liter V8 engine that resides in the RC F. Detailed performance specifications were not released but Lexus expects it to produce more than 540 bhp (397 kW).

Lexus will begin supplying "GT3-compliant" race cars to teams next year and the models will be able to compete in everything from the 24 Hours of Nürburgring to the Super GT series.
