Porsche has announced plans to showcase the 919 Hybrid and 911 RSR at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show which kicks off next week.

The 919 Hybrid marks Porsche's long-awaited return in LMP1 racing with drivers Mark Webber, Neel Jani, Timo Bernhard and Romain Dumas as well as works drivers Marc Lieb and Brendon Hartley. Power of the vehicle is provided by a 2.0-liter V4 direct-injection turbocharged gasoline engine working with two energy recuperation systems (KERS and ERS).

As for the 911 RSR, it will be used by the Porsche AG Team Manthey team consisting of Marc Lieb, Richard Lietz, Romain Dumas, Joerg Bergmeister, Patrick Pilet and Timo Bernhard. The vehicle makes use of a 6-cylinder 4.0-liter boxer engine delivering 460 HP (338 kW) and will work together with a 6-speed sequential gearbox.

More details will be disclosed on March 4 when both cars will be introduced in Geneva. Also at the Swiss show we will see Porsche's Macan and 911 Targa who will receive their European debut.
