A couple of BMW M4 Convertible prototypes were spied in Germany wearing a minimal amount of camouflage.

The M4 Convertible has lost most of its disguise as we are getting closer to an official reveal which could occur as early as next week at the 84th Geneva Motor Show. Seen here are a couple of red and white prototypes displaying most of the car's design which won't stray away too far from the M4 Coupe. It will come with a foldable metal roof combined with a sculpted hood, beefy wheel arches and four exhaust pipes showing this M cabrio means business.

Matching the aggressive looks will be a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine delivering 431 HP (317 kW) and a peak torque of 550 Nm (406 lb-ft). BMW will most likely offer the M4 Convertible with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard or with an optional 7-speed DCT. Taking into consideration the slightly increased weight, the cabrio will be a tad slower than the coupe so look for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run somewhere in the region of 4.5 seconds with the manual and 4.3 seconds with the aforementioned DCT.
