Skoda has released preliminary details and photos of the Octavia flagship Laurin & Klement variant.

The Octavia liftback and Combi will soon be offered in the range-topping Laurin & Klement which will be distinguished by unique 18-inch alloy wheels. The models will also come with bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and LED taillights. For the interior Skoda has prepared a four-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a Canton sound system, leather & Alcantara brown upholstery and different decorative trims.

Customers will have the possibility of ordering the Octavia L&K with a 1.8-liter TSI engine delivering 180 HP (132 kW) or with a 2.0-liter TDI available with 150 HP (110 kW) and 184 HP (135 kW). The gasoline engine and the less powerful diesel can be coupled to manual or DSG gearboxes while the high-end diesel comes exclusively with the DSG and an all-wheel drive system. The AWD setup is also offered in combination with the 1.8 TSI + DSG and on the manual 150 HP 2.0 TDI.

In Geneva next week we will see Skoda's new Octavia compressed natural gas-running G-TEC and rugged-looking Scout, along with the VisionC design study which previews a coupe version. For the Swiss show Skoda has also prepared Monte Carlo derivatives of the Citigo, Yeti and Rapid Spaceback which will join the already existing Monte Carlo Fabia / Fabia Combi.

As a final note, Volkswagen's Czech arm says in the following years they will introduce a new or updated model every six months (on average).
