Toyota has released a teaser photo and short clip with the second generation of the Aygo set to be showcased on March 4 at the Geneva Motor Show.

Toyota is almost read to show off the new Aygo which will share its platform with the already revealed Peugeot 108 and the forthcoming Citroën C1 which will also be exhibited at the Swiss show. Toyota's Aygo is set to become a more upscale model with a premium look and a better cabin which will offer a built-in infotainment system.

Power will come from the familiar three-cylinder engines of the outgoing model and there is a chance Toyota will decide to sell the Aygo only with gasoline motors since Peugeot recently declared making Euro 6-compliant diesel engines these days in Europe is pricy.

Production of all three models will take place in Czech Republic and the Aygo will probably be offered with three- and five-door body styles as well as an open-top model like the new Peugeot 108 TOP!

At Toyota's stand in Geneva visitors will also have the chance to take a look at the FCV and three-wheeler FV2 concepts.
