Nissan has taken the wraps off its Altima-based V8 Supercars Championship contender for the 2014 season.

The vehicle will be used in the 2014 V8 Supercars Championship by the Norton Hornets team with James Moffat and Michael Caruso behind the wheel. Compared to the 2013 racer, the revised car has shallower scallops on the front bar along with updated rear wing uprights. In addition, the vehicle's livery has gone through some subtle changes as it now has a pearl-based yellow paint and reflective white vinyl for the circle on Norton's tick.

The two Norton Hornets racecars along with Nissan Motorsport's Jack Daniel's Racing (driven by Todd and Rick Kelly) will take part in the first event of the season at Clipsal 500 Adelaide, South Australia between February 27 and March 2. The season consists of 14 events and will end with the Sydney 500, Sydney Olympic Park, New South Wales (December 5-7).
