Porsche CEO Matthias Müller has revealed his desire to have a seven vehicle lineup.

Speaking at the launch of the Macan, Müller said “I think a seven model series would be a good lineup because most cars have a seven-year life cycle." He went on to say "If we had seven models we could have a major event each year, as well as the variants.”

The executive declined to say what the seventh model could be but previous reports have indicated it might be a mid-size sedan that would battle the Audi A6, BMW 5-Series and Mercedes E-Class. The model has been dubbed Pajun - for Panamera Junior - and Autocar is reporting that design and engineering proposals have already been submitted to the company's board.

There has been a lot of speculation about the model but the current proposals call for it to ride on the MLB Evo platform which will debut on the 2015 Audi A4.
