Ford hasn't forgotten the fifth-gen Mustang as they have recently introduced a V8 GT Coupe The Black special edition in Japan.

Previous special Mustang editions have proved to be very popular in the land of the rising sun which is why the Blue Oval considered one more won't hurt anyone, even though it's for the previous generation of the pony car. The Ford Mustang V8 GT Coupe The Black will be produced in a limited series of just 40 units which will all wear a jet black exterior paint and ride on exclusive 19-inch alloy wheels featuring black accents.

The interior cabin is also dominated by a black theme and it comes with a glass roof featuring a three-layer structure which according to Ford will block 90 percent of infrared rays and 96 percent of ultraviolet rays.

Motivation is provided by the familiar V8 5.0-liter delivering 426 HP (313 kW) and 529 Nm (390 lb-ft) delivered to the wheels with help from a six-speed automatic transmission.

Priced at 5.05M yen (about 50,000 USD), the limited-run Mustang will go on sale only in Japan starting March 15th.
