A new report indicates Mercedes-Benz plans on offering the next generation C63 AMG in no less than four body styles: sedan, coupe, convertible and wagon.
The highly anticipated range-topping C-Class will allegedly be introduced in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show most likely at first as a sedan. The C63 AMG will later on spawn coupe, cabrio and estate derivatives which will all be powered by the sedan's V8 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine. This motor will represent the result of combining two 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo units from the A45 / CLA45 / GLA45 AMG.
Exact engine output details are not available at this point but the new C63 AMG should deliver at least 450 HP (331 kW) and up to 500 HP (368 kW) for the version equipped with the optional performance package. Back in January at the North American International Auto Show, AMG chief Tobias Moers said the new C63 AMG will be offered exclusively with a rear-wheel drive layout.
The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG sedan will go on sale in the first half of 2015.
