Ford has unveiled today in India the Figo concept which previews an upcoming B-segment small sedan production model.
It looks basically like a sedan version of the recent Ka concept and according to the Blue Oval company it "was fine-tuned through hundreds of hours of wind-tunnel testing to improve aerodynamics and reduce wind noise." The concept was developed primarily for India and other emerging markets with extra stowing spaces in a spacious cabin (not finalized on the photographed concept) even though the car's overall length is less than four meters.
One of the highlights of the Figo small sedan concept are its electrically-adjustable power-folding mirrors which benefit form a flexible architecture that diminishes the risks of being ripped off after colliding with another car or a motorcycle.
Ford hasn't said anything about a launch date but taking into account this concept looks pretty much production ready, a nearly identical model will likely hit Indian showrooms later this year or early 2015.
