Renault has disclosed plans to show a new version of the Clio RS at the beginning of March during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

They didn't say anything about this new derivative of the Clio RS but chances are we are dealing with a range-topping Gordini version. According to a report which emerged last June, the Clio RS Gordini will pack 230 HP (169 kW) and 285 Nm (210 lb-ft) from a turbocharged 4-cylinder, 1.6-liter engine which will make it 30 HP (22 kW) and 51 Nm (33 lb-ft) more powerful than the Clio RS. The same report indicated a 25 kg (55 lbs) diet, lowered -10mm Cup chassis and 18-inch Radical White alloy wheels.

All these upgrades will allegedly allow the Renault Clio RS Gordini to complete the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 5.9 seconds before topping out at 155 mph (250 km/h). The Clio RS needs 6.7 seconds for the sprint and has a maximum speed of 143 mph (230 km/h).

Other goodies will include real carbon fiber inserts, alloy pedals, Recaro Sportster seats and a choice of four exterior paints: Blue Gordini, Red Flame with platinum white stripes, Glacier White with blue stripes and Platinum Gray with Gordini blue stripes. The flagship Clio will also pack Gordini-branded floor mats, R-Link with RS Monitor and white or black mirror caps.
