Renault has confirmed plans to show the all-new Twingo in early March at the 84th edition of the Geneva Motor Show.
The rear-wheel drive Twingo will share its platform with the next-gen Smart ForTwo and will likely run on economical 3-cylinder engines. It was already previewed by the Twin-Z and Twin'Run concepts and all of our spy photos indicate it will be sold exclusively as a five-door hatchback.
Also from spy pics we found out the rear door handles will be recessed upright near the rear windows which will provide a cleaner look but won't be to everyone's liking since it can be a bit inconvenient in some situations to open the doors. Renault will provide a wide array of customization options for the new Twingo in a similar way as Fiat is doing with the 500 and Opel with the Adam.
The third generation of the Renault Twingo will be unveiled on March 4 during the first press day of the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
