Former Caterham boss Ansar Ali has disclosed preliminary details about the E11 roadster due to come out in 2016.
The Zenos E11 is going to be more expensive than the recently released E10 which has a starting price of 24,995 GBP. In return customers will get to enjoy the "pure and raw" performance of the roadster provided by an unknown Ford-sourced engine. Zenos Cars co-founder Ansar Ali says the E11 will provide a "very different" experience compared to the E10 and will offer "accessible fun and real driver engagement."
Already preordered by 23 customers, the Zenos E11 roadster will use the same platform as the E10 so it will combine a single aluminum extrusion with a recycled carbon central tub. The aforementioned Ford engine will be Euro 6 compliant and will probably be coupled to the same 5- and 6-speed manual gearboxes available in the E10.
Zenos Cars has also announced an E12 coupe will be launched sometime in 2018.
