The two concepts - the next iteration of the flexible Chevrolet Volt architecture and a stunning new Buick hinting at possible future directions for the brand worldwide

Buick has a plan, and its first step to world domination is this new Buick Riviera Concept. Designed and developed at PATAC (the General's Pan Asia Technical Center) in Shanghai, this concept will be the first step towards a global Buick DNA and be making its world debut in front of a chinese home crowd. The unveiling will be taking place this Friday (April 20th). Interesting that an American "global" car has to come from China, maybe GM has figured out that American design doesn't speak to the rest of the world as much as they would have hoped. Oh, and a new Chevy Volt will be on show too... Press release after the jump
