Cadillac has quietly announced the 2015 Escalade will be priced from $71,695 - excluding a destination and handling fee - when it goes on sale this spring.

Cadillac has quietly announced the 2015 Escalade will be priced from $71,695 - excluding a destination and handling fee - when it goes on sale this spring.

Costing thousands more than the Lincoln Navigator and Infiniti QX80, the Escalade will come nicely equipped with LED headlights, a hands-free tailgate and 20-inch aluminum wheels. The model will also have a rear view camera, park assist and Magnetic Ride Control.

The luxurious cabin features leather upholstery, wood trim and heated / cooled front seats. Other highlights include a digital instrument cluster, a CUE infotainment system and a Bose audio system.

Power is provided by a 6.2-liter V8 engine that develops 420 bhp (313 kW) and 460 lb-ft (623) of torque. It is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission which can be paired to an optional four-wheel drive system.
