Cadillac has unveiled the 2015 ATS Coupe, ahead of its debut at the North American International Auto Show.

Looking rather conservative, the coupe has the same 109.3-inch (2,775 mm) wheelbase as the sedan but features unique bodywork including the doors, roof, rear fenders and trunk. The model has also been equipped with a new front fascia and a revised grille that sports the company's wreathless crest.

Interior pictures were not released but Cadillac says the ATS Coupe will come nicely equipped with leather upholstery, decorative stitching and aluminum, carbon fiber or wood trim. The model will also have a Bose audio system that plays recorded engine sounds through the speakers to "enhance the performance experience."

Options include GPS navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot and a CUE infotainment system with an eight-inch display. The car can also be equipped with a variety of safety systems such as Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control.

Under the hood, two different engines are available. The turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder produces 272 bhp (203 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque, while the 3.6-liter V6 churns out 321 bhp (239 kW) and 275 lb-ft (373 Nm) of torque. Both engines are connected to a six-speed automatic transmission but a six-speed manual is optional on the turbocharged four-cylinder. Rear-wheel drive is standard but all-wheel drive is also available.

Speaking of performance, Cadillac says the car has Brembo front brakes, aerodynamic underbody panels and a nearly perfect 50/50 weight distribution. If that's not sporty enough, an optional package includes an adjustable sport suspension, Magnetic Ride Control, a limited-slip differential, a high-performance cooling system and 18-inch alloy wheels with summer performance tires.

According to Cadillac's Chief Marketing Officer Uwe Ellinghaus, “The 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe is a natural step in the brand's progression, and another fun-to-drive and technologically advanced product for a new generation of drivers extending our target groups. It is an exclusively distinctive American alternative, unique in its class, yet delivering a sporty and sophisticated driving experience rivaling the world's best.”

The ATS Coupe will go on sale this summer and pricing will be announced closer to launch.
