The all-new MINI Cabrio has been spied once again with its soft top in position, ahead of a programmed 2014 market release.

Earlier today we brought you a fresh batch of spy photos with the enlarged Clubman and now we have a closer look at the convertible version which will retain the soft top of its predecessor. There isn't a lot to talk about in terms of design as the car will look virtually the same as the hatchback model with the exception of the foldable cloth roof. About a month ago we posted a render with the cabrio with its top down so don't expect styling surprises once the car will be officially revealed sometime next year.

Engine lineup will obviously mirror the standard version and so far we know the regular 2014 MINI will be sold with a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder gasoline engine producing 134 bhp (100 kW) along with a diesel version rated at 114 bhp (85 kW) in the Cooper D. There's also a more potent 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline motor powering the Cooper S where it delivers 189 bhp (141 kW).
