America hasn't had the best of luck with the Holden Commodore as every time it comes to the United States something horrible happens. However, a new report is indicating the Chevrolet SS will be built in North America.

America hasn't had the best of luck with the Holden Commodore as every time it comes to the United States something horrible happens.

In the most recent case, Chevrolet launched the 2014 SS right at the same time the company announced plans to end Holden production in Australia.

The natural assumption was the SS was going to suffer the same fate as the Pontiac G8 but Car and Driver is reporting that isn't the case. Instead, General Motors will reportedly begin building the SS and Caprice PPV in North America by 2015. There have also been rumors about a US-built Ute or sports wagon but nothing is official as of yet.
