A camouflaged prototype of the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate has been spied undergoing some last minute testing on the public roads of Germany.

The new C-Class will likely be revealed on Monday based on most recent rumors so these could be the last spy photos of the estate version. Both the sedan and its more practical sibling will be showcased in January at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Seen here is a considerably camouflaged prototype featuring the same exhaust pipes as the undisguised sedan we saw almost a month ago. The overall design doesn’t bring any surprises as it takes cues from its larger brothers, the facelifted E-Class and the all-new S-Class along with a few hints of CLA.

The new C-Class will utilize the MRA platform and is expected to lose as much as 100 kg (220 lbs) compared to its predecessor. The vehicle will be offered with an Airmatic suspension and an adjustable radiator shutter, while the cabin will host an optional 8.4-inch color display and a touch-controlled pad.

More details are likely to emerge in the following days.
