Ferrari recently introduced the 458 Speciale at the Frankfurt Motor Show and the first year's worth of production has already been sold out.
If a Ferrari 458 Speciale was on your Christmas list, you'd better ask for something new as first year's worth of production has reportedly been sold out.
Described as a ""focused sports car that offers extreme driving emotions," the 458 Speciale is the spiritual successor of the Challenge Stradale and 430 Scuderia. As a result, it features an upgraded 4.5-liter V8 engine that produces 605 HP (445 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 35 HP (25 kW). The engine is connected to an improved dual-clutch transmission that enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in three seconds and lap the Fiorano circuit in 1 minute and 23.5 seconds.
Besides the powertrain upgrades, the 458 Speciale has an aerodynamic body kit, Brembo brakes and an exclusive Side Slip Angle Control system that allows for "smooth, controllable power oversteer."
