A Ferrari 458 Italia was involved in a serious crash at a high speed in Birmingham, Alabama.

The accident occurred in Birmingham, Alabama and according to Zero2Turbo behind the wheel of the 458 Italia was an employee of a transport company who decided to take the vehicle for a ride before loading it up in a car carrier trailer. He was driving at a speed of around 140 mph (225 km/h) when he lost control of the 458 Italia and hit a post which literally split the car in two.

From what we know so far, the driver is in a coma right now while the passenger also suffered some serious injuries. As for the car, you can see from the attached photo it's beyond repair since the rear end has been separated from the front.
