GM North America President Mark Reuss has revealed his desire to build a production version of the Elmiraj concept.

Speaking with USA Today, Reuss said "You make a statement with a coupe. You don't make a statement with a sedan." He went on to say an Elmiraj-like production model is exactly what Cadillac needs.

Regardless of whether or not the Elmiraj sees production, Cadillac has confirmed the third part of their flagship saga will be the "arrival." The company declined to elaborate but the name suggests the production model might not be that far off.

As we have previously reported, the Elmiraj is a "grand coupe" that has a twin-turbo 4.5-liter V8 engine that develops approximately 500 bhp (373 kW) and 500 lb-ft (678 Nm) of torque. The company also confirmed the concept uses "chassis and structural elements" from an upcoming production model.
