After a couple of inconclusive teasers, Polestar has finally revealed the identity of its new hot Volvo, the V60.

At the beginning of May we saw Polestar's version of the S60 and now they have returned with a similar version of its more practical V60 sibling. Power comes from the same 2953cc inline-six gasoline engine delivering 350 HP (257 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque sent to the wheels through an automatic gearbox featuring a paddle shift system. These power figures were achieved after installing a new twin-scroll Borg Warner turbo, an intercooler and the tuner's stainless full-flow exhaust.

As a result of this setup, the 1,822 kg (4,016 lbs) high-performance wagon will need only 4.9 seconds to complete the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run. The 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) takes 17.7 seconds while getting from 80 km/h (50 mph) to 120 km/h (74 mph) will take 4.7 seconds. Polestar has electronically limited the V60's top speed to 155 mph (250 km/h).

Stopping power is provided by six-piston calipers with 371x32mm floating and ventilated Brembo front discs and 302x22mm ventilated rear discs. The vehicle has received Polestar's 20-inch ET53 alloys shod in 245/35 R20 tires.

Pricing and availability details will be disclosed in the near future.
