The Mercedes-Benz SLC (name not confirmed) has been spied with a different type of camouflage which gives away the car's smaller proportions.

It was only about a week ago when Mercedes-Benz launched the SLS AMG GT Final Edition and now we bring a fresh batch of spy photos with its replacement. It won't be a direct successor since the SLC will have a significantly smaller size and will compete with the Porsche 911.

The prototype was spotted wearing a new black and white camouflage giving us a better idea regarding the car's size which appears to be more compact than the outgoing SLS. Reports are indicating it will be 4500mm long which would make it 140mm shorter than the SLS, while width and height will be very similar. These spy shots show the electronically-controlled rear spoiler derived from the SLS which will be deployed automatically at speeds exceeding 75 mph (121 km/h).

The car will probably be available with more than just one engine since our spies took shots of various prototypes featuring different exhausts. From what we know so far, expect to see at least a newly developed V8 4.0-liter twin-turbo rated at 493 bhp (327 kW) that will also find its way under the hood of the next-gen C63 AMG.

The Mercedes-Benz SLC will reportedly be revealed in July next year the German F1 Grand Prix.
