Cadillac has quietly released performance specifications for the 2014 ELR.
Set to go on sale in January, the $75,995 ELR hasa 1.4-liter petrol engine-generator, a 16.5 kWh lithium-ion battery and an electric motor that produces a maximum output of 217 bhp (162 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. This enables the coupe to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 7.8 seconds in range-extending mode (0-60 mph in 8.8 seconds in EV mode) and hit a top speed of 106 mph (170 km/h).
The ELR can travel approximately 37 miles (60 km) on electricity alone and about 345 miles (555 km) overall. When the battery is depleted, it can be recharged in approximately 12.5 - 18 hours with a 120V travel charger or approximately five hours with a 240V charging station.
In terms of fuel efficiency, Cadillac expects the model to average 33 mpg combined and 82 MPGe in EV mode.
