The 2014 Nissan GT-R Nismo might be the star attraction of the Tokyo Motor Show but the company will also display an updated GT-R.

Set to go on sale in Japan on December 2nd, the 2014 GT-R promises to offer "a new level of sophistication" without any compromise in performance.

Looking virtually identical to its predecessor, the 2014 model is distinguished by high-intensity multi-LED headlights, revised taillights and a newly optional Gold Flake Red Pearl paint job.

Interior changes are limited but include a new pale ivory trim option and semi-aniline leather seats with stitched accents.

On the handling front, the 2014 GT-R has a retuned suspension with new front stabilizer spring rates and optimized shock-absorbers. The model also has an improved braking system, a revised steering system and newly standard Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST CTT tires which promise "outstanding road-holding and precise response in all conditions."
