New details are starting to emerge about the 2015 Ford Edge.
Set to be previewed by a concept at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the production model will reportedly ride on a global midsize platform and be launched in the second half of 2014.
Ford hasn't released pictures of the model but an earlier leak showed it will have an evolutionary design with a prominent grille and sweptback headlights. We can also expect Fusion-inspired styling but we'll have to wait until later this week to how well everything turns out.
Engine options remain unconfirmed but the Detroit News says the model will be offered with at least one EcoBoost engine. Nothing is official but possible candidates include a 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder with 240 bhp (179 kW) and a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 with 365 bhp (272 kW). There could also be a hybrid variant - with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder Atkinson-cycle engine - but Ford is keeping tight-lipped on details.
