W Motors has introduced the production version of its Lykan Hypersport this week at the 2013 Dubai International Motor Show.
While the Devel Sixteen seems to be just vapor, the Lykan Hypersport appears to be real with its 3.4M USD price tag and a production limited to just seven cars. The car was shown earlier this year at the Qatar Motor Show in a near production-form while the final version of the car was unveiled this week at Dubai Motor Show featuring rear-opening suicide doors.
At its heart is a twin-turbo, flat-six 3.7-liter engine developed by RUF which produces 770 HP (566 kW) and a peak torque of 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) sent to the wheels via a six-speed sequential gearbox. It will run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in just 2.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 245 mph (395 km/h).
Aside from its striking exterior looks and impressive technical specifications, the Lykan Hypersport is different than other supercars thanks to its diamond-coated LED headlights and gold-stitched leather seats. It was envisioned with an interactive holographic display and benefits from numerous titanium, carbon fiber accents as well as precious stone inserts.
Those seven buyers will also get a Special Edition Cyrus Klepcys Watch which is worth more than 200,000 USD. Production could eventually be extended as W Motors has received a strong demand from United States, China and Russia.
Also in the pipeline is a more docile Lykan Supersport version but details about this lesser model are not available at this moment.
