The front end of the new generation Nissan Qashqai has been all-but revealed with the release of this latest teaser image from the Japanese automaker.

The flowing design lines on the hood continue seamlessly through to the front fascia and wrap around the grille. The design gives the front end an illusion of a pointed head that looks somewhat like an F1 race-car nosecone.

The headlights meanwhile come with integrated LED daytime running lights. The lightened teaser image also shows rounded fog-lights on the lower bumper.

Under the hood, the Qashqai will launch with a choice of a frugal gasoline engine and two diesel units. The 4-cylinder 1.2-liter turbocharged unit provides an output of 113 bhp (84 kW) while the 1.5 dCi is rated at 108 bhp (80 kW) and the 1.6 dCi produces 128 bhp (95 kW).

Full official details of the new Nissan Qashqai will be released when the model is unveiled later this week
