Hyundai has revealed its intentions to sell the second generation of the Genesis sedan in Europe.

It seems Hyundai has big plans for the new Genesis as they are willing to take on the Germans on the old continent where the full-size Asian luxury car will be available for the first time. This will be just a piece of the company’s puzzle to erase its value-for-money image and believe the Genesis has what it takes to “play a crucial role in improving our brand recognition.”

Set to be unveiled before the end of the year, the new Hyundai Genesis will get rear-wheel drive as standard just as before but for more money clients will have the possibility of configuring the model with an optional “Hyundai Traction” (HTRAC) all-wheel drive system. Engine choices will include updated versions of the familiar V6 3.8-liter and V8 5.0-liter which are likely to be more economical and get a power bump as well.
