The third generation of the Audi TT has been captured on camera once again on the ‘Ring and this time our spy photographers were able to snap a few pics with the interior cabin.
Despite the heavy amount of camo, we can easily tell the new TT will look basically like a shrunken R8 which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It will have a prominent front grille with angular headlights and will also feature a rakish windscreen and flared wheel arches.
The cabin adopts a rather conservative look and loses one of the central air vents introduced on the second-gen model. The layout is similar to what the current model offers, with the exception of the display which will be repositioned on top off the center stack.
Since it will ride on Volkswagen’s MQB platform, the 2015 TT will be lighter and will probably be offered with a 1.8-liter TFSI rated at 180 HP (132 kW) along with a larger 2.0-liter TFSI outputting 220 HP (162 kW) and 300 HP (221 kW). The TT-RS version is likely to get an uprated 5-cylinder turbo producing 380 HP (279 kW).
The third generation of the Audi TT will be unveiled next year and will go on sale as a 2015MY.
