Concepts tend to lose their unique features on the way to production but a recent report is indicating the Citroen C4 Cactus will keep the airbump bumpers and lounge-like interior.

Speaking to Automotive News, Cactus concept designer Frederic Duvernier said "The Airbumps will protect the bodywork from small impacts, such as a shopping trolley hitting it in a supermarket parking lot." He added they use a durable and resistant material that is similar to what you would find on the "sole of a Nike Air shoe." Duvernier went on to say the airbumps will be offered in a variety of colors so customers can easily personalize their car.

Citroen design director Mark Lloyd also told the publication the C4 Cactus will keep the concept's lounge-like interior.  As he explained, "Putting in a sofa instead of two standard front seats is more expensive but it will create a feeling of comfort."
