Nissan has decided to discontinue the Pixo in order to better concentrate on its other small models.

A Nissan spokesman told Autocar the Japanese marque has decided to stop taking orders for the Pixo and after the remaining ones will be fulfilled the car is going to be axed indefinitely. Although Nissan describes the Pixo as a "good competitor for cars in that class", they want to focus on their more important small cars such as the Micra, Note and Juke.

The Nissan Pixo uses just about the same underpinnings as the Suzuki Alto, but the latter will live on and production will continue at the same Indian factory where the Pixo was made. Moreover, we already showed you spy photos of the new-generation Alto which is programmed for a 2015 market release.
