G-POWER has announced plans to attempt to set a new world record for having the fastest BMW M3.

Using a M3 SK II CS, the company will attempt to break the previous record of 207.10 mph (333.29 km/h) which was set by their M3 SK II in 2011.

As a refresher, the M3 SK II CS has a 4.0-liter V8 engine that has been equipped with an ASA T1-523 supercharger, an optimized air intake and a high-flow air filter. The model also has an additional fuel pump and an optimized ECU. Thanks to all these modifications the engine develops an impressive 610 HP (449 kW).

The record setting attempt will take place tomorrow at the Nardò Ring, so expect to learn more shortly.
