Renault has announced plans to unveil the Duster Detour concept at the Johannesburg International Motor Show on October 16.

It will be based on the recently facelifted Dacia/Renault Duster budget off-roader and was developed by Renault Design Central Europe in collaboration with a Johannesburg-based design studio. Wearing a two-tone pearl yellow and matte grey paint, the Duster Detour is the result of mixing "a little Mad Max with a touch of the Terminator" and some Dakar influences.

From this teaser photo we can see the fog lights have been moved right under the front grille, while the taillights seems to adopt LED technology. The concept will be riding on black five-spoke alloys with orange accents and should get a revised interior cabin as it would be appropriate for a concept car.
