Opel unveiled the Adam Rocks concept at the Geneva Motor Show and a new report is indicating the model is headed for production.

Citing a person familiar with the project, Automotive News says the production model will have crossover-inspired styling with plastic body cladding and an increased ride height. Opel hopes these changes will sway buyers away from models like the Fiat Panda 4x4 and Volkswagen Cross Up!

Engine options will likely carryover from the standard Adam so expect petrol choices to include a 1.2-liter with 70 HP (51 kW) and a 1.4-liter with outputs of 87 HP (64 kW) and 100 HP (74 kW). The model should also be offered with the new 1.0-liter three-cylinder SIDI Turbo that produces 115 HP (85 kW) and 166 Nm (122 lb-ft) of torque.

The model is slated to go on sale late next year and carry a modest price premium.
