There are just a few weeks until the official unveiling of the brand new MINI and the teasing campaign continues at full throttle ahead of the launch.
MINI has prepared a new TV commercial for the launch of the third generation model that involves the lovable English bulldog Spike starring alongside the brand's upcoming star. A number of lengths and endings were created over the four days of filming that included a scene featuring the four-legged animal defending the MINI against a huge great dane.
MINI has also taken an additional step by releasing a few photos from the set which further teases the model ahead of unveiling on the 18th of November.
The model in question is built on the UKL1 platform that will eventually be shared with the BMW front- and all-wheel drive models including the new generation 1-series. A range of petrol and diesel engines will be available including a 1.5-liter gasoline engine developing 134 bhp (100 kW), a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with 189 bhp (141 kW) and a 1.5-liter diesel unit outputting 114 bhp (85 kW).
The new MINI Cooper is scheduled to be launched worldwide in the first quarter of 2014.
