Our spies have already caught the 2014 Peugeot 308 GTI on numerous occasions and new details are starting to emerge about the upcoming hot hatch.
Speaking to Top Gear, Peugeot's Christophe Valet said nothing has been finalized but the model should have "around 250 bhp (186 kW) - maybe more, maybe less."
Valet also confirmed the model will have a lowered suspension with beefier anti-roll bars, larger shocks and stiffer springs and dampers. We can also expect high-performance brakes, a revised steering system and 19-inch alloy wheels.
While the 308 GTI will have to balance performance and comfort, the company is expected to introduce a range-topping 308 R with a 1.6-liter THP engine that produces 270 bhp (201 kW) and 330 Nm (243 lb-ft) of torque.
