Available as a sedan and sportwagon, the International Edition is distinguished by LED daytime running lights, "dark bezel headlamps" and 18-inch alloy wheels. The model also gains additional standard equipment including leather upholstery, Blind Spot Alert and Reverse Traffic Alert.

Power is provided by a 3.0-liter SIDI V6 engine that produces 248 bhp (185 kW) and 290 Nm (214 lb-ft) of torque. The model can also be equipped with an optional 3.6-liter LPG V6 which develops 241 bhp (180 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque.

According to Phil Brook, Holden's Executive Director of Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing, “We wanted to celebrate the anniversary of an icon by introducing even more great value features on the all-new VF Commodore." He added, "The VF range has been very well received and we’ve continued to look at how we can offer maximum value, so we’re delighted to be able to introduce an even more compelling package to large car buyers."
