McLaren has released new details about the 12C GT Sprint, following its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Developed exclusively for track use, the 12C GT Sprint is distinguished by an aggressive front bumper, a GT3-inspired hood and center-locking 19-inch wheels with Pirelli competition tires. The model has also been equipped with a 40mm reduced ride height, an on-board air jacking system and a high-performance braking system with "race specification" discs. Other highlights include a central cooling radiator, an optimized oiling system and a recalibrated Proactive Chassis Control system that promises to deliver a "truly bespoke GT racing experience which can be set to individual driver preference."

The stripped out cabin has a composite racing seat (with a six-point harness), a fire suppression system and an FIA-spec roll cage. There's also a digital dash and an air conditioning system.

Power is provided by a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine that develops 625 HP (460 kW). It is connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The 12C GT Sprint is currently available for order and pricing starts at £195,000 ($316,445 / €233,550).
