Mercedes has released new details about their ARROW460 luxury yacht.
The product of a collaboration between Mercedes-Benz Style and Silver Arrows Marine, the yacht promises to combine the "design features of Mercedes-Benz automobiles with unrivalled innovations in the boat building industry."
The resulting model is a 14 meter (45.9 foot) long luxury yacht that has concave and convex surfaces which convey "dynamism and serenity." The boat also has an open-air design with a forward-opening front window and retractable side windows. There's also an extendable rear dock which is covered in a synthetic material.
The luxurious cabin accommodates up to ten passengers and has premium nubuck leather and eucalyptus wood paneling. The boat also comes nicely equipped with air conditioning, a premium audio system, an ice maker and a "wine cellar.” To maximize space, the dining table and bed can be retracted to allow for additional interior room.
Power will be provided by two diesel engines the each produce 480 HP (353 kW). They will enable the boat to cruise at speeds of 28-30 knots in calm seas.
Mercedes-Benz Style and Silver Arrows Marine will present the final design of the ARROW460 at the Monaco Yacht Show and will begin accepting orders at the event. The first models - fully-loaded Edition 1 variants - will be delivered to customers in early 2015 and cost €1.25 ($1.68 / £1.05) million excluding VAT.
