Fiat's head of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region has revealed the company will launch five models in the next two years.

Speaking with Italy's Corriere della Serra, Alfredo Altavilla said "We are redesigning the DNA of the Fiat brand with a clear strategic objective to position it in the premium segment of the market." He added, "To do this, we are focusing on two of our car families which have had the greatest success: the 500 and the Panda."

Altavilla declined to go into specifics but said four of the models will be part of the 500 family. The fifth model will be based on the Panda and is expected to have off-road inspired styling and added capabilities.
