2013 continues to be a rough year for automotive companies as Porsche tuners 9ff and SpeedArt have filed for insolvency.

Details are limited, but the Dortmund District Court appointed insolvency lawyer Carsten Koch to oversee things at 9ff on September 6th.

A similar decision has handed down by the Ludwigsburg District Court which appointed Dr. Philipp Grub as SpeedArt's insolvency lawyer on September 4th.

The companies have remained tight-lipped about the situation but insolvency proceeding come hot of the heels of similar events at Wiesmann and Gumpert.

It remains unclear if the companies can turn themselves around but let's hope they can change their fate before time runs out.
