It seems the Porsche 918 Spyder can lap the Nürburgring even faster than the already record-breaking 6:57.
It was Marc Lieb who proved the Porsche 918 Spyder has what it takes to become the quickest (worldwide legal) car to lap the Nürburgring, achieving an impressive time of 6 minutes and 57 seconds which makes it the first car to do a sub-seven time.
Marc Lieb, a four-time Nürburgring 24-hour race winner, hinted in an interview to Drive TV there's room for improvement to lower the time even further. There are some reports indicating a 918 Spyder fitted with racing slicks lapped the famous German circuit in just 6 minutes and 48 seconds.
We are now waiting for a response from McLaren and Ferrari with their latest supercars to see which one is the king around the 'Ring.
