Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes has finally confirmed the brand is considering a crossover.

Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes has finally confirmed the brand is considering a crossover.

Speaking to Bloomberg, Mueller-Oetvoes said "We are intensively thinking about entering the SUV segment." He went on to say the segment is "very interesting" and has been "incredibly stable during the crisis, and I think a luxury niche will develop."

The model is reportedly in the early stages of development as the executive confirmed designers are creating sketches of the proposed model. The company will then evaluate the sketches before deciding whether or not a crossover would be a proper fit for the brand.

Nothing is official but previous reports have also indicated the model's fate could rely on BMW green-lighting an X7 crossover since it would likely underpin the Rolls-Royce crossover as well.
