Volkswagen is showing the all-electric versions of the up! and Golf VII at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Both of them are production variants which will be available exclusively with four doors. The e-up! will have an electric motor producing 82 HP (60 kW) and 155 lb-ft (210 Nm) which will allow the electrified city car to run 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 12.4 seconds en route to a top speed of 81 mph (130 km/h). More importantly, the 18.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack will have enough juice for a 99 miles (160 km) range.

The Volkswagen e-Golf gets a more powerful 115 HP (85 kW) electric motor providing an instant torque of 199 lb-ft (270 Nm) which will enable the car to hit 62 mph in 10.4 seconds and the same limited top speed as the e-up! Range of the e-Golf will stand at around 118 miles (190 km) thanks to a bigger 24.2 kWh battery.

It will take around half an hour to charge the battery packs to an 80 percent level when using CCS charging stations (direct current).
