Bugatti has introduced the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Jean Bugatti special edition representing the second model of the "Legend" series which will consist of six limited-run models.
The latest special edition Veyron is a tribute to Jean Bugatti, son of the company's founder and creator of the iconic Type 57SC Atlantic. Limited to three units, this particular Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse wears a jet black, clear-coated carbon fiber exterior finish and rides on diamond-cut alloys. Platinum was used for the front grille's surround, while Jean Bugatti's signature was laser-cut onto the fuel and oil caps.
Chocolate brown leather covers the steering wheel, instrument panel, seats, door panels and dashboard, complemented by the "Type 57" embroidered onto the doors using contrasting beige silk thread.
Power comes from the familiar W16 8.0-liter quad-turbo engine outputting 1,200 HP (882 kW) and 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft) of torque, enough to propel the supercar to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.6 seconds.
Set to be showcased at this month's Frankfurt Motor Show, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Jean Bugatti will have a starting price (before taxes) of 2.28M EUR.
